The Civil Contractors Federation National has announced the winners of the 2016 National Earth Awards that recognise excellence in civil construction projects across Australia, and the National Civil Train Trainees of the Year. Celebrating 23 years, the CCF National Earth Awards Dinner attracted more than 200 delegates at the National Press Club in Canberra on 4 November 2016.

CCF National is proud to announce the winners of these prestigious awards are as follows:

Category 1 Project valued up to $1 million

Talis Civil Pty Ltd – Redfern Easy Access Upgrade Program NSW

Category 2 Project valued between $1 million to $5 million

BMD Constructions – Kauri Parade Tennis Courts SA

Category 3 Project valued between $5 million to $10 million

Abergeldie Complex Infrastructure Pty Ltd – Lennox Bridge Portals NSW

Category 4 Project valued between $10 million to $30 million

JF Hull Holdings & GHD – South Pine River & Tributary Creek Bridge Upgrades QLD

Category 5 Project valued between $30 million to $75 million

Lendlease Engineering and Rob Carr Pty Ltd – Alphington Sewer Project VIC

Category 6 Project valued more than $75 million

Gateway WA – Gateway WA Perth Airport & Freight Access Project WA

In addition to the awards for excellence in civil construction, two outstanding apprentices were the recipients of the 2016 National Civil Train Traineeships of the Year Awards as follows:

Certificate III Trainee/Apprentice of the Year – Mr Ben Anderson, Civil Mining & Construction QLD

Certificate IV Trainee/Apprentice of the Year – Mr Clifford Dawson, Georgiou Group Pty Ltd WA
