Women in Civil Construction, CEO Shadow Pilot Program
CCF is pleased to announce the creation of Women in Civil Construction (WICC), an initiative of the Victorian Civil Contractors Federation (CCF) and National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) Vic/Tas Council.
Our purpose to connect and empower all women working across the civil construction sector through professional programs as well as social and industry support networks.
The WICC Committee is delighted to reveal our first program -- the establishment of the CEO Shadow Program. This is a unique professional development opportunity for high potential women to spend a day shadowing senior decision makers in the industry; this may range from attending meetings and briefings through to going onto site and observing any other business activities. The aim of the pilot is to demystify the role of CEO and thereby inspire more women to keep striving for appointment to senior leadership roles. The “shadows” (high potential women) will need to demonstrate via their application form the key criteria which are: initiative, teamwork and leadership.
The details about this program can be found on the NAWIC website
If you have aspirations to take your career to new heights and are in the civil sector of the industry we encourage you to apply today.
