The Civil Contractors Federation exists to act as the leading representative body for all civil contractors and industry related suppliers through a network of branch offices in every state and territory.
Our Membership
CCF membership comprises contractors of all sizes ranging from very small to national and international companies. Contractor members are involved in all aspects of civil construction activities including:

- Land development – residential, commercial and industrial subdivisions
- Water treatment and reticulation
- Sewer treatment and reticulation
- Telecommunications infrastructure
- Electricity distribution
- Gas pipelines

- Irrigation infrastructure

- Land improvement – rural earthworks
- General excavation
- Demolition
- Roads and bridges make up the largest component of civil construction in Australia
Associate members provide support and are key suppliers to the civil construction industry across the range of goods and services required including:
- Raw materials, e.g. quarry products, concrete, bituminous products
- Manufactured products, e.g. pipes, steel
- Equipment sales and hire
- Fuels and lubricants
- Professional services, e.g. legal, accounting, recruitment, insurance
The CCF membership continues to grow with numbers approaching 2,000 nationally.
Our Industry
It’s estimated that our members are a major contributor to the $80 billion worth of work done nationally in civil engineering.
In terms of supply and demand for goods and services, CCF surveys indicate that our members:
- Work in an industry of some 350,000 people across Australia.
- Own 40,000 items of plant and equipment.
- Purchase 400 million litres of fuel each year.
